The Deep Self Within
Free Online Event with Michael Meade - “The Soul of Change” - LEARN MORE
When the world outside is falling apart, the instinctive, psychological and mythological thing to do is to turn inside. When a person does that, it is essential to hold the idea that there is something deep and wise inside each person that tries to become known throughout the course of life.
Knowledge of a deep self-center and source of inner guidance has been known throughout time. However, for our lives to grow from within the fears of the ego must be faced and its spell must be broken. For, the greater the distance between the little-self and the deep self within us, the more anxiety and fear we feel.
The psychologist Carl Jung suggested that when the world seems to be polarized and about to fall apart, that is the time when the deep self tries to manifest. Not in a collective way so that everyone agrees on something, but in a deeply unique individual way so that each person winds up having something meaningful to contribute in terms of healing and finding solutions to the great dilemmas and seemingly impossible tasks of the world.
